History

 

Counseling Services of Dothan was formed in 1992 by Jeffery Justice, and has been expanded to meet the challenges and changing needs of individuals and families. Clinicians at CSD have educational backgrounds in counseling, and psychology. Success of the treatment team approach is enhanced by the diverse training and clinical experience of the therapists.

Jeffery C. Justice, M.S., LPC

The founder of CSD, Mr. Justice has over thirty years of experience working with a diverse population of clients with emotional, behavioral, and social problems. He has worked in a broad variety of settings as a program supervisor for a residential group home, a consultant for the school system, and as director of a community mental health outpatient clinic. He is an approved LPC Supervisor. He also serves as the Executive Director of Therapeutic Resources.

 

Tim P. Faulk, Ph.D., LMFT, CTS

Dr. Faulk is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is an approved Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor. He has also completed additional training and is qualified as a Certified Trauma Specialist (ATSS) and he holds a Board Certification in Sexual Abuse and Pain Management (AAETS). He has provided more than six thousand hours of clinical assessment and treatment for victims of trauma. Dr. Faulk has over twenty years of clinical experience that includes residential and outpatient mental health counseling, testing and counseling for ADHD/Family Systems and consulting to community and educational systems. He also serves as the Clinical Director for Therapeutic Resources and the Wiregrass Critical Incident Stress Management Team.

 

Charles B. Emmett, M.S., NCC, LPC

Mr. Emmett has worked in the mental health field for over seventeen years. His experience includes work with parent-child relationships, domestic violence, grief issues, disaster / trauma counseling, divorce recovery, and counseling for blended families. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and as a Disaster Mental Health Counselor for the American Red Cross’ Wiregrass Chapter.

 

Tami S. Chancy, M.S., LPC

Mrs. Chancy has over twenty-five years of experience working in the mental health profession. Mrs. Chancy works with all populations including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. She has many specialties including marriage counseling, eating disorders, attention deficit disorders, depression and anxiety. Mrs. Chancy also specializes in grief therapy. She has also spent many years treating females with sexual abuse issues. She has placed great emphasis in assisting with phase of life issues including divorce, aging, and adjustment to the loss or death of a spouse, significant other, or child.

 

Randall G. Jordan, Psy.D.

Dr. Jordan received his Doctorate from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1990 and has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1991. He has work experience specializing in PTSD, ADHD, and a variety of adult problems including depression and anxiety disorder couples therapy and other individual therapy. He also performs limited neuropsychological evaluation concerning Alzheimer’s or other dementia and memory related issues. He currently has offices in Dothan and Enterprise.

 

Larry E. Beauchamp, Jr., Ed.S., LMFT

Mr. Beauchamp has over eighteen years of experience working with children and families with issues of physical, emotional, spiritual, and social concerns. He has counseling experience as a teacher, mentor, school counselor, youth minister, and marriage and family therapist. He is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

 

Robert S. Kline, III, Psy.D.
Dr. Kline is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with training focus in the area of forensic psychology. He has over ten years of experience, which consists of various forms of civil and criminal evaluations with adults and juveniles, providing assessments of disability for the Office of Disability Determination, geriatric issues/guardianship evaluations, and administers various types of personality, intelligence, and competence testing. Dr. Kline is licensed in Florida and Alabama and practices in Tallahassee, Florida and surrounding areas as well as our Dothan location

Teresa Holmes, M.S., LPC
Teresa Adams Holmes is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a combined 32 years experience in the mental health, vocational rehabilitation/career and educational counseling field.  Ms. Holmes received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Music from Judson College in 1982, her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, Dothan in 1990.  She initially worked in various vocationally oriented facilities and agencies which served individuals with mental, physical and cognitive disabilities.  She later became certified as a school counselor and also licensed as a Professional Counselor.  She has served clients and families for the past six years as a school counselor and master level therapist in Florida and Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama.  Ms. Holmes area of interest and expertise include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children, teens and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder and stress related adjustments/difficulties.  She enjoys working in the home setting with families towards restoration, and reunification. 

 

Andrea Godfrey, LPC, LMHC, NCC
Andrea Godfrey has worked with over 400 families and individuals since she began her counseling career in 2009.  Andrea has a background as a licensed special needs Exceptional Education teacher in Florida.  She guest lectures at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine on stress management.  Andrea Godfrey is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and a National Certified Counselor.   Andrea Godfrey offers counseling for children, adults, families, and couples.  She addresses anxiety, depression, substance abuse, OCD, and women’s issues.  She specializes in abuse issues, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, anger/behavior management, ADHD, adolescent issues, and adoption.   Her training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sandplay, Art, and Play Therapy.
